Dr. Prowell works on:

Behavior specification, especially using sequence-based software specification techniques
System evaluation, by statistical and information-theoretic means

Dr. Prowell has worked as a consultant on the design, implementation, and testing of large software development projects, including large embedded and distributed systems. He has taught rigorous software development methods in both industry and academia.

Dr. Prowell received the Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Tennessee in 1996. He is a member of the ACM, IEEE, AAAS, and Sigma Xi.
